Dr Johnny Pangkas Kuching Division Health Officer/Consultant Public Health Medicine Specialist Kuching Division Health Office

Dr. Johnny Pangkas is a dedicated public health professional with over a decade of experience in advancing community health and managing public health challenges. He holds a medical degree, a Master of Public Health, and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), all from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Since completing his DrPH in 2014, Dr. Johnny has contributed significantly to public health. He began his post-DrPH journey in Betong Division and in 2023 he was transfer to Kuching division. As a division health officer he played a pivotal role in managing outbreak such as Rabies, disaster and health crisis including flood and landslide, dengue outbreak, food poisoning and COVID-19 pandemic. He also involved in One Health programme, community engagement and disease control related to rabies control. In 2023, he was trained in Asean Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) network and later involved as a trainer in 2024-2025 which the participants consist of Asean countries.
