Deep within the Baram region of northern Sarawak, the Penan communities welcome visitors to experience their forest lifestyle. A picnic with the Penan is more than just a meal in the forest, it is a cultural journey into the heart of Borneo’s rainforest, guided by the people who know it best. The Penan, one of Sarawak’s last nomadic hunter-gatherer groups, are guardians of the jungle, living in harmony with nature and understanding every sound, scent, and trail of the forest.
Meet your guide at Miri Airport. Morning twin otter flight into the Sarawak jungle.
