Dr. Harish Tiwari is a DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), where he leads the project on ‘Implementing a comprehensive One Health approach to eradicate dog-mediated rabies from India’. He is also the founder of the CreIndia Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing One Health research and developing strategies for rabies elimination and livestock disease control to empower rural farming communities. A former Army Veterinarian with the Indian Army’s Remount Veterinary Corps, Dr. tiwari earned his doctorate from the Murdoch University, Australia. He has extensive international experience in ASEAN region through his work with Austen Pty Ltd and APCOVE, contributing to the regional capacity building in zoonoses and One Health. Passionate about solutions that respect socio-economic contexts and cultural ethos, he is deeply committed to achieving the vision of a rabies free world within his lifetime.
